The Journal of Microwave Power
and Electromagnetic Energy (JMPEE) is the quarterly, peer-reviewed,
technical journal of the International Microwave Power Institute
(IMPI), focusing on the industrial, scientific, medical, and
instrumentation interest areas of the profession. This journal is
issued online quarterly at the end of each quarter, and available in
print, by volume, at the end of each year.
JMPEE is indexed and abstracted by Thomson Reuters in Science Citation
Index Expanded (SciSearch), Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition,
and Current Contents/Engineering Computing and Technology.

Test set-up of
microwave power transmission system at Marshall Space Flight Center in
1970. The magnetron which converts power into microwave power at 2450
MHz is mounted on the waveguide input to the pyramidal horn
transmitting antenna. The rectenna in the background intercepts most of
the transmitted power and converts it to dc power. Ratio of dc power
out of rectenna to the RF power into the horn was 40.5%. Overall
dc-to-dc efficiency was 26.5%. As published by JMPEE: Brown, W.
C., "Progress in the Efficiency of Free Space Microwave Power
Transmission"
JMPEE, Vol. 7, No 3 (1972) pp. 223-230.
