Recent developments in this field worldwide are attracting attention of various industries. This symposium aims to provide to the relevant and interested industries to such recent developments, commercialization of the microwave technology in the area of ceramics, composites, metals, etc. Symposium topics will also cover other microwave applications especially related to chemistry, waste processing, and alternative and unconventional energy sources. Invitation to Contribute Papers JMPEE invites attendees of this Symposium to submit their papers for publication in this Special Issue. The accepted papers will be published by JMPEE online and in print on Volume 45, 2011. Submission and Acceptance Criteria All papers contributed for consideration of publication in this Special Issue will be reviewed according to the JMPEE’s standard acceptance criteria of validity, relevance, importance and originality. Manuscripts shall be submitted directly to JMPEE or to the Guest Editors, as instructed in JMPEE’s website http://www.jmpee.org, The deadline for manuscript submission for this Special Issue is now June 26th, 2011. Version for the Journal is often more detailed and with deeper discussion than proceedings. The procedure will consist in having and ad hoc committee review of the papers proposed for the journal during the ICMAT 2011. This committee, chaired by the Guest Editor, will announce at the end of the meeting the verdict over the papers. Guest Editors
