Note
regarding
SI This is
related to the JCR note Many
authors are waiting that
the JMPEE goes back to JCR Thomson list now that Impact
Factor
is becoming the only meter with which academics are pushed to judge the
journals.
The idea is to invite the authors of the proceeding papers to submit
their
contributions detailed enough in discussion that are suitable for a
journal,
this quality is reflected in the Impact factor that shows the relative
amount
of cites that the paper have in average. If enough papers are obtained
from
this sources an Special Issue dedicated to such event could be
produced.
The upcoming meetings are PACRIM 2011, IMPI 45 and AMPERE 13. It is known that the risk of receiving poor papers is high because of the Impact Factor of JMPEE, the editorial plan addressed to the organizer of those meetings cannot contain the guarantee of having JMPEE listed by that time because it is an external procedure, which certainly would be started as soon as possible. However, among the many presenters in large conferences, there are always people writing very nice and good papers papers regardless other circumstances. The idea for these conferences is that in most of them the papers are accepted based on the abstracts, then people send the paper to be published in the proceedings. It is common that papers are very well written for proceedings, but require some improvement for being considered in a journal. So the idea is inviting people to submit both versions, one for the proceedings and one for the journal. Maybe, the invitation for submitting a journal version could emerge from reviewing the proceedings version. This is only an idea, both invitations could be prepared at the same time. What it is important is that the journal version should be submitted before the meeting, the latest at the beginning of the meeting, and be reviewed by a committee organized by the Guest Editor, and announce during the meeting when the accepted papers would be published. By the end of the meeting the verdict over the papers should be delivered. Main Page, Paper Submission, Note JCR, Special Issues |
